ALWAYS WONDERING AND PONDERING WHAT IS BEHIND EVERY CLOSED DOOR IS A GAME WE USED TO PLAY WHEN WE WERE KIDS AND WENT INTO THE CITY WE ALWAYS WANTED TO KNOW HOW OTHER PEOPLE LIVED BECAUSE WE WERE COUNTRY KIDS

Hi. I like this as well as the Fog. Somehow they tie together. Good questions are sometimes more enlightening than the answers. Truly, I poke through life looking for the things hidden behind doors, under moonbeams, aroundthe stones of the path I walk...gates swinging oen, doors half hinged and my mind questing.

I keep finding your works and wondering how you keep churning them out?
It gets difficult to find unique words to tell you how wonderful you are without being so repetitive- Write on as aways I enjoy seeing you here- Di

Brooke, Lovely poem. We all have unanswered questions behind doors, and you put it into words so well. I love the pix of your kitty peeking out. I enjoyed this read, super job. Judy

Hi Brooke,
It's amazing to me that an image like this inspired such a profound poem. Life is like a long hallway with doors on either side that will eventually lead to what you want. Some, though, don't have patience to keep knocking and just settle for any door. This was lovely--Ted

I found great resonance with this! As I gained experience as a teacher, I gradually learnt that the art was not in eliciting answers but in eliciting questions. There is more excitement in opening our own doors. Students were always more eager to find answers to the questions that they themselves had posed than answers to mine. A bit like fly-fishing - one had to make them jump!

There's such a great power in your words...no regrets, no shadows and if there were, you use your inner strength to open the doors where even the questions hold truths. Amazing and thank you again for sharing your awesome talent.

Great statement you are making here. There is no single lock on the truth for there are many truths. Just as you won't know a person until you walk in your shoes, you are in no position to discount another's beliefs or reality until you step behind that door...one amongst many. Great partner to your "Fog" poem.

"too often they have failed to see that questions too have much to teach" - I love these lines since I so often deal with people who think asking profits nothing when, in fact, the answer can only come if we are brave enough to venture forth and ask. This is lovely and I thank you so much for sharing it with me.
