I can tell Potato is a true cat. Mine are in, on, or under everything and can squeeze into the tiniest spots. I enjoyed your poem. You seem to understand cats.

Barbara, thank you so much :-) I've had cats all my life - the family had one when I was born, and then my kids and I had them for years. Now they both have two each. I believe cats need to be in pairs. :-) Brooke

A very pertinent question indeed. Who really knows what the answers to previously unasked question might produce. Of course there are those questions we don't ask for fear that the answers might at the ver least, prove to be distasteful. LOL.

Here I go again. Your poems and the photos by your daughter, would make a wonderful book. I think both of you have a lot ot offer. You need to share it. I am fifty three years old and I get something out of this, imagine what a young open mind would get. Great poem about opportunities and the questions we all have. Great job.

The author clearly addresses the philosophical point of how we learn. It teaches how important it is to ask the questions and what happens if we don't. Also I love the way the idea of how the formulation of the questions, learning what to ask is an important art within itself! I have never worked with this form but it certainly inspires me to want to try it! The picture was just perfect!

Lovely poem. The picture of Potato is awesome. My favorite lines were:
Behind the door I've never been
may be the questions never asked,
and learning what those questions are
might prove my most important task.
Well done!

Re: your picture -- Now there's an answer begging for a question! This is brilliant, Brooke. You're right. How many times have the answers been right there if only we'd known which questions to ask. The curse of ignorance. :) Nancy

There are always things we are searching for behind doors we are afraid to open. If you release the fear, we may be able to find and important answer that may others more than it helps us.
Apt artwork. The cat is a perfect metaphor for being curious about the questions we need to ask.
Keep writing.

Yes, knowing the right questions to ask. What's relevant, what's NOT? Sometimes people want to know too much, kind of like Hal, that computer in 2001: A Space Odyssey!
We can ask tons of questions, get answers, but also get very confused because we've crammed our minds with a LOT of nonsense due to NOT asking the very RIGHT questions. At the end of the day, WHAT really is important??? My goal is NOT to be a winning game show contestant! Okay, I could use the money, but...
Thanks!

This is yet another interesting poem that the author has created with this piece of work. We must open these doors and try to open our minds to the multitude of opportunities that are open to us.
