what a delightful photograph! and it has lead to deep pondering about the innumerable questions we com across during our life .As you have rightly said 'learning what those questions are 'could be more important than finding the answer.and answers often become irrelevant. Thanks for posting this.

This is a poem to cause ponder. We often analyze answers to decide whither or not to accept them but perhaps we don't analyze the questions enough.

A wise and poignant thought! It is the ability for us to realize there is still so much to learn and do that keeps us alive. The unknown is what we fill our cup od life with!

Another thoughtful poem you've written, Brooke.

I very much like the repetition of the first two lines in the first and last stanzas. Your abcb rhyming is great, and your words, as always, have a wonderful flow.

The picture of potato is very cute and a perfect enhancement to your words.

Thanks for sharing, Brooke! Alana

Hi Brooke,
this poem was truly exquisite... straight away I felt the hollow feeling of regret to doors unopened and chances missed... but that does not take away from the craft-full skill with which these words constructed. I loved the maze of thought you created... outstanding.

With our thoughts we create,
the words to fit the time,
James xx

Hi Brooke,
Boy, do I relate to this one. It's hard to formulate a question when you're not sure about the subject matter.
I used to train people how to work on ski lifts. I explained it might take them a few years, to even know what questions to ask.
I loved the second couplet, in the second quatrain as it speaks to me of life's unknown potential.
This was a fun and thoughtful read... a real pleasure, best wishes, Bill

Well recognized indeed, I loved the entirety of this well-crafted piece you have delivered. Sawyer is definitely an inspiring little fellow for you! I need to start writing about my 3 year old twin nephews but I wouldn't know where to begin with them LOL. Love reading your work, God Bless!

This poem covers thoughts I have had about what is behind doors. It is a very well written poem. I enjoyed reading it. I thought that you used very good descriptive words and brought the reader into the story. Thank you for sharing your good work.

Hi Brooke. Lovely picture! I found your poem interesting and quite thought-provoking and very well written in iambic tetrameter.
Who knows how many doors I've missed
and what their secrets might have shown.
Yes who knows?

Hey Brooke,

Adults don't just teach children, often children teach adults. It's a matter of watching, listening and interacting. "We don't stop playing because we get old. We get old because we stop playing." Ben Franklin.
