He plans to stop you from getting married. - well that should get any bride worried!
Good thing she is already married then- whew!
Poor Blaze - wanting to do what is right but longing for a slice of happiness.
Great chapter

Thanks a million for the sixer on this, Rita. I felt sorry for both Tara and Blaze as I wrote this... is that freaky or what? But Tara has no choice... she MUST forget everything from Hell, said Franny and the priest. I rather think she could have dealt with it, but she's doing what the "experts" say. Maybe by the end of the book they're reconcile, I hope.

But it gave Blaze a reason to reach for comfort with the handsome senator, his body at least. She did her best to forget it was Luke inside, but he had to go and remind her by throwing her on the floor. She won't stick around Hell as long as Ginger did, trying to win his approval. She figures if Ginger got away, why can't she, and she's got to resent that. She may do some dumb things, but she has to find her way, and her actions, even her mistakes, will lead her to find her mission in life. :)

I see hints here that perhaps there is a chance for Blaze.
she does seem to nice to be a real demon.
It adds tension to the story as does the anticipation
of Luke coming to the Church.

Thanks, Nancy. Blaze would like to stay friends with Tara, and Tara would be a good influence on her... but... You will see in chapter five that Blaze faces a hard truth. Tara/Ginger is not supposed to have any connection wiht her old life in Hell, and Blaze finally realizes what she's lost. She'll be alone, with no one to care about her. Hard place to be, even for a demon. So she'll seek comfort with ... well, you'll see.

I think Blaze deserves to be forgiven. She made a bad, foolish choice. Who hasn't? Punishment shouldn't last forever. I think she really wants to help Tara, and maybe Tara should let her. I'm looking forward to this wedding. Can't wait to see what Luke tries to do.

Thank you so much, Cindy. Are you questioning God? Or maybe you're right. Maybe Hell is just to scare people into behaving. Sure worked for me. LOL! But now I have no way to misbehave if I wanted to. No wonder you see so many old folks in church. They keep looking back in SHOCK at their younger days, asking, "Did I really do THAT?"

I wish you could be right, but I'm afraid Blaze and Tara on are a path that leads them apart, at least for most of the book. Of course I'll aim for a happy ending, but this is a very different story from Ginger's. Blaze feels rejected by Tara, so she's bound to become jealous, resentful, and feel the pain of injustice, not just on herself, either. She's also very human compared to other demons, and her feelings are stronger for them than htey were for Ginger in her early days. Blaze may be new at her job, but she will identify with humans much faster than Ginger did. Nuff said. :)

I think there most likely is a God. That life just somehow fluked itself into existance seems unlikely to me. Religon, however, was created by humans. That's why there are so many different ones and so much confusion. I suspect it's been used to keep the masses in line. Eternal punishment seems a little extreme to me. I have no idea what God might think. By the way, I don't have an Amazon account. Does it cost much to get one?

I understand where you're coming from. If there's a God, He didn't leave us much to go on, just one old, dusty book.

You just sign up for Amazon... it's free. It's a great place to buy EVERYTHING, and after 35 dollars shipping is free. No tax if you live in the right states. We order so much that Mark paid for a premium account, with two-day free shipping.

You need not buy anything, but the next time you need a small appliance, stockings, cough drops.. ANYTHING, check their prices and the REVIEWS on each brand. It's the safest way to shop. Mark even gets his favorite shoes from them.

But if you are not interested, then don't sign up just to post a review. Only if it's no trouble. :)

I really do think Blaze is redeemable. No matter what the author says! LOL Great chapter, Phyllis. I can't wait to see what Luke is up to for the wedding. Pure entertainment, I'm sure!

LOL! Always an optimist, eh? Thanks so much for your input. You may be surprised by Blaze... she's a lot more human than she should be for a demon, but angelic? Not very likely. LOL!

You once told me Ginger wasn't redeemable . . . just sayin'. :D

I actually think there's hope for Blaze. I think she will get out of Hell. I am very interested in seeing what Luke has in store for Tara's wedding.

Thank you so much, Barbara. She may get out of Hell eventually, but into Heaven is a much harder task for her, and very likely not possible. But we'll see what happens. I don't think her shooting a guy, at least one, is going to help with that causd, though. Have I said too much? :)

I guess it is up to Ginger to change one soul at a time like Blaze to keep her out of hell so to speak. Like the interaction here. I really got into the precipice that Blaze felt she was on, wavering or waffling between two worlds, literally and figuratively. Stan

Thanks, again, Stan. Blaze is not redeemable, so she won't follow Ginger's path, but she WILL eventually break with Luke. She will have some rough experiences in her chosen mission, which even she has not yet discovered. She will also shoot someone point blank with no guilt whatsoever, and you won't blame her. I hope. :)

Hmmm- who's illustrious body will Luke inhabit? Joh...nah, not going there.Funny that he can flex his robo- suit all he wants and it won't change a thing. Can't stop a wedding that already happened.

It's the one thing I have do without, so maybe you can be happy for both of us." - Not sure what this saying exactly. Word missing or something.

This is great, Phyllis. I like the idea of Blaze getting some feelings other than hate into her being. On to the next chapter. Nice job.

Thank you so much, Drew. Yes, a word was missing, and I'm glad you pointed it out. I have fixed it. The sentence should begin, "It's the one thing I have to do without," meaning happiness.

The emotional ties between Blaze and Tara illustrates the love Blazes is convinced she knows nothing about. She can't see that this is transferable. Their dialogue exchange reveals she wants to feel this, she open to it.This type of love is pure and if she projects to God, he will forgive her. However, with Lucifer as her boss she is unable to take a breather and figure that out.
