a pep talk in rhyme 'Reality Check.' A fabulous way to teach children the correct way of progressing along life's ways. I have a feeling Sawyer has a lifetime of teachings at hand. Well done.

I like the message here, Brooke and the
illustration is delightful.
In most cases a goal is reached by hard work
on the part of the individual.
Looks like Sawyer is on his way to achieving great things!

How true! We have to overcome the obstacles life throws at us on our own. We may get help at times but we can't expect someone else to swoop in and take care of things for us. Cute picture!

Wow, look at the Cute Little One go. I am sure that he has a lot of fun on those play things. As usual, this is very well written. Good job.

Cute poem and a great shot of Sawyer making his way to the top. Success comes to those who keep on keepin' on. My bet is he will make it without Superman's help.

LOL. This is what my lazy high school girls hoped for-- a rich man would set them up for life. The smart ones knew the ladder involved volunteer work and a job history to learn different skills. Well versed.

Thanks so much, Spitfire - yep, marrying the rich guy is just one of many variants of this way of thinking. A more recent one is the bizarre belief that one is going to win the lottery - I mean, a few people do, but it's hardly a plan, and for many it seems to be their plan A. Brooke :-)

Yes, there are no supermen, just regular folks who have to take their time, pay their dues and learn from each step up whatever ladder life places before them. Great work.

A very descriptive poem. Brooke, I appreciate that your poem has presented. Even without the very descriptive picture, I can see clearly what you were saying. I had seen a lot of kids before trying very hard to reach goal by climbing their way up. They think for a while, struggle, and with the limited knowledge they have as yet. they try every means, sometimes cry and ultimately come up victorious at the end. Even without the picture you provided your poem is keen and self-explanatory. Congratulations. Dom

Love this little aphoristic write.
Truer words were never spoken.
I think this instant gratification generation needs some reminding .
Love the photo .

Hey, Brooke...
I love this! So right - it takes as long as it takes, one rung at at time.
I can almost hear little Sawyer's mind churning in contemplation about getting to the top.
Cheers & Blessings
