Been awhile since I heard them called rung.Since he has stared in your first poems earlier this year I think he has grown a foot. Still refreshing and enjoyable. Thank Brooke. Blessings to you and the family.

I enjoyed this playful pep talk about a Reality Check. It has a nice ABCB rhyme scheme and alliteration of S's and T's. A good lesson to everyone. 8-)

Great poetic observation.
It even has tones of a 'life lesson' as well.
Simple rhyme made the point clear and enjoyable to read.
As always, a pleasure to read.
Good job.

Doesn't matter that Superman aint coming, Tarzan doesn't need him! LOL. This little poem is perfect, Brooke. I hope we are both going strong on here when Sawyer gets married, LOL, goodness know how jealous you and his mum will be!! I will be wanting to read those poems! LOL. xsx sandra

Wonderful piece of writing and great advice to boot. I wish I could get my children to understand this concept. Great job. You said a lot in very few words which takes great talent. Love reading your work and learning from your writing.

This is excellent advice to all those hoping for shortcuts or to be rescued by one Superman or another. I see Sawyer has it figured out, and I'm not surprised. Another fun poem. Love, Jeanie

    Thanks so much, Jeanie. Sawyer is not being raised by helicopter parents, and I'm so glad :-) Brooke

That may all be very true, but don't try and tell that to this child! Superman should be swooping in at any moment:) Excellent as always.

What a skilled writer you are. The artful manner you used in delivering this truism is so smooth that no one could possibly take offense. It is exactly the kind of no nonsense advice that some of the less inspired persons in the wolrd need to hear. Not in a preachy way, but exactly the way that you spoke it. Great job.

Oh, isn't that the truth?
A well-penned analogy of life;
"only ticket to the top";
"comes one rung at a time";
What is applied to childhood fun can also be applied to adulthood--we succeed one step at a time, slow and sure.
