Short but sweet. Everyone should learn that lesson. One rung at a time. My mother always said, One Step at a Time. So in this poem, I really like the one rung as a time to reach the top. Great metaphor used here.

this is sooo cute, brooke. Don't look to me for help. climb that ladder by yourself and hang on tight. you can really do it. it might take all night. but i'll be there to encourage you until you make it to the top. do it on your own power and you just can't be stopped.
