royowen: a beautiful job writing for our Maureen. I especially liked the first stanza about lighting a candle for her to see our light to draw her out of the coma. But, then, I also liked the second stanza, well, hell, I liked them all. Peace, Linda

royowen, this is simply am incredible and beautifully written poem dedicated to our Maureen.Each line so eloquently and poignantly expresses our mutual sentiments so that the whole of the work comes alive with the desires of all our hearts. excellent use of abab rhyming
a most thoughtful poem in tribute to Maureen
the only problematic line as far as meter goes is
in the valleys shout...
my favorite stanza is the moving final stanza with its wonderful call to action

Very heartfelt. Emotions just pour out. Such a beautiful poem. Love the image of:

"A candle on your windowsill,
A set against time's clock."

Clear, moving and well rhymed and metered ode to Maureen Napier, who is one of the best poets on this site. I do hope she is cured.

Oh Roy this is a beautiful piece and the photo of Bon Echo is perfect backdrop to your healing words of comfort.

What a beautiful tribute Roy! really, really beautiful.
Maureen is a beautiful poet and it would be totally unfair for her to be taken away from us. she has a serenity and tranquillity about her poetry that just takes me to another place, another space in time.

For dear Maureen. "We'll light..." This is really the only way to remember someone dear. We are all very concerned for Maureen, and we trust that, if medically possible, she will recover. Well done, Roy.
