Oh the dreams we dream on such simple and small things. Transforming a water world on a slip n' slide was beautiful! This poem has a great flow with wonderful imagination. This is surely a cool piece of poetry.

The photo attached to this really made the poem extra fun - - - Seeing the picture first, I knew where this was going, so I read it with a jaunty voice and followed to where I knew the punch line would come in 8-)
Totally enjoyed this :-)

this is an excellent write, jmf4119, you did an excellent job capturing the innocence of childhood that we all wish to reflect on again. I enjoyed reading this, I did more slipping than sliding as I got older, lol

jmf4119: It is always best, I think, that we have a back yard or front porch, some place of comfort for us no matter what happens around us. A place to rest, distress with our hair not done and flip-flops on, a place for water slides, even. Smooth reading poem of fun and pleasantries. livelylinda

It is never too soon or too late to talk of summer!
A well-crafted writing enlightening readers to one of the many pleasures we enjoy during this short season;
"just riding on my slip'n slide"--I've never constructed one of these, we always had a pool, but it does look like fun!
A pleasure to read an excellent summer poem.
