I have to give you 5 stars because you are a gifted storyteller and a good wordsmith. You tell an intriguing tale, and you tell it well. There is only one thing on which I must comment. I know this is a prologue, but it covers so many events, it could be the general summary of a book 1, and what follows, book 2. Just in the first three paragraphs, more than 100 years pass. Everything you have written in this prologue reads like a summary of an entire novel. So, why don't you begin with the tale you've so wittily crafted on this page?

I make it a point to never read prologues, but for some reason that I can't explain, I decided to read yours. And I'm glad that I did, as I wouldn't want to miss a book filled with evil. It sounds entertaining. :-)

I will patiently wait for more of this fantastic story. I do so love the witches and their covens, they rate right up there with the vampires in my books. God bless!

I'm glad I'm getting in on this fascinating story early on. You've already drawn the lines very well between the white witches and the 'black' witches. The latter are truly chilling and formidable. Well done, Amahra. Looking forward to reading more.

This is an amazing prologue! You provide just the right amount of back story which sets the initial impressions of the characters nicely. I liked how you did not spend much time dwelling on the time in between the back story and the present - only providing what was needed which kept things moving along rather than mired down in too much detail. Nicely done and I thank you so much for sharing this with me.

We are surely preoccupied with evil beings and fallen angels. Our traditions are full of it. The nature of our humanity is riddled by it. In the great works of Paradise Lost and Dante's Inferno those wicked creatures attract us more than that stern, judgmental, all pervasive God of creation. And what about those confusing Gods of the Romans and ancient Greeks? They swoop down to seduce humanity and confuse us. It seems that our author's witches pale in comparison. -Ekim777

No, I just got finished my year-long romance novel, The Animal Doctor" remember. I haven't written supernatural in over a year. I took a break from it, and you didn't even notice. LOL

Wow! This will definitely be on my "to read" list."
I'm not really a fan of supernatural fiction but you may well change that.
This cleverly plotted prologue has grabbed my attention, held it, and left me interested in reading more.
In short, this genre may become more popular on my reading list.
I will be very interested in the development of this story.

You set the stage dramatically in your opening
vivid detail of setting
master piece - masterpiece
I love the back story
a thorn in the covens' side - coven's - singular possessive
good character development and dialogue

named it, New Berwick They named it, Falcon Haven,
too similar sentences right after each other - would think how to re-word one of them.
A new book? I'm looking forward to it - love supernatural and witchcraft - sound like a fun romp.
