I don't think Luke has any idea what a Christian wedding is about. probably thinks they will jump a broom. Maybe everyone will throw holy water rather than rice or birdseed.

Thanks, Carolyn. Jumping a broom sounds like fun, actually. They should bring that back. LOL!

I'm starting to really feel comfortable with the series now. Your humor comes through wonderfully, especially in describing Lucifer. You have a good mix of characters that play well off each other.
Thanks to Ginger's pioneering research on site, [There is some delicious irony here, Phyllis!]
Good job, again!

What a very interesting concept. I haven't previously read any of this series or books si it is all new to me, and I'm enjoying it. Good dialogue, and descriptions. Can't wait to find out why Lucifer wants to stop a wedding but I expect all will be revealed.

Brit, thank you so much for taking a look. The answer to your question is in Chapter One, which is paying $1.13 today. It explains who Ginger is and why Luke doesn't want her to marry anyone. She was his favorite demon and he misses her.
Can you imagine having the Devil show up in a church, of all places, to interrupt a wedding? Blaze wants NO part of that, since Ginger, who was released from Hell by God Himself, was Blaze's best friend while they were in Hell together. In Ginger's case, it was a mistake. for she was a GOOD angel who never belonged in Hell. Lucifer wants her BACK though. GOd is his enemy, and he fights a losing battle, but he's a braggard and a bumbling buffoon... and doesn't realize he can't win.
I hope you will take a minute to read Chapter One, which is enough to allow you to follow the book, and I hope you'll give it a chance. So many readers seem to like this series that it's pushed me up to #1 in the novelist ranks. I still can't believe it. LOL! :)

Well executed chapter. The focus is Lucifer going to Tara and Garys' wedding. The development is Blaze trying to come up with a reason to prevent him from going to the wedding. She finally states since she isn't invited to the wedding Tara may guess why she is there.
The dialogue moves smoothly with the story telling what the think and feel. The narration tells us their physical reactions and the action of the scene.
The emotions I felt surprise that Lucifer blows his suit to make it look like he has muscles. Joy that Blaze is going to let Tara know of Lucifer's plan.
Keep on writing.

Phyllis, it is good for you to list terminology and characters for readers who may have just come in. It will be interesting how you will make this new direction different than Ginger's experience with Luke. :0 GracieAnn

I loved this episode, could it be that Blaze is also a repentant fallen angel? She seems a pretty decent type, I wonder about Luke, maybe their could be another uprising in hell! Now Blaze is calling her friend, she is a loyal friend! Well done, a very funny episode with lots of ducking and weaving! Well done, Phyllis, blessings, Roy.

Thanks so much, Roy. Blaze has a good sense of JUSTICE, which she will put to use on Earth later, working against her boss. But she is not angelic and is not redeemable, since she joined the rebellion against God. Her sense of justice tells her that she deserved her punishment, so she's making the best of things, but she has no respect for Luke. Like her pal Ginger, she's learned to manipulate him, altho she's not yet quite as skilled at it as Ginger was. She'll improve. :)
