Hi Brooke :)
I loved this! The rhythm has a touch of 'hubble bubble toil and trouble'.
It certainly sounds like a chant or a spell and the generous alliteration adds to the halloween feel.
Kindest regards as always, Debra :)

The abundance of alliteration is awesome, especially in the opening quatrain. The first line in the closing quatrain effectively enforces the title as well as the theme.
Well crafted overall.

Oh, what a great anthem for ghoulies, witches and ghosts for this October!
Fantastic, fun vibe.
I can hear it in a children's movie. Very funny, cute rhyme.

The artwork is beautiful as is your poem. It is so nice to see you use Trochaic meter once more. It enhances the scar of Halloween. When is it Halloween?

Beautiful smooth timed rhyme, this gem would be well placed as a Halloween anthem LOL, a read and a return read had this poet caught in a sing pattern, thanks for sharing

Yep, they get just one day a year. And that's just. I like the alliteration of G, M, and R, in the first stanza, and the smattering throughout. Un-shelves old memories. Kenny

With October a day away and Halloween just around the corner (although retailers believe it begins in August) your poem opens the door and sets the stage.
I enjoyed the cadence of the trochaic meter. It gave the poem a nice light bounce.
Nicely done. John

Hi Brooke A fun poem Oh! I'm scared. Goood rhyming as usual.
What's a 'Ghoulies' I'm planning a 'Fairy Scary' party for the children in our little town. I have been doing it for a few years now.

Very rhythmic is this wonderful, creepy Halloween poem that is quite appropriate for this time of the year, & with clever rhyme.....And, a good poem to recite, Oh come on, Brooke...like RG Star did with his latest poem.. Though some of the stanzas, for me would be quite the mouthful to pronounce....Anyways, so very Halloween, & such an appropriate haunting picture, that I think older kids would really appreciate....Worthy of a six.
