I never knew Gungalo personally but I cannot forget the how genuine she was in trying to help you improve. Because of the detailed review and the interest she showed in follow ups I felt a bond. her passing still affects me since I had no former knowledge of any illness and her poems never reflected any pain or concern about her health. There was much exuberance and expectation of love that it really impacted me. Did you know Pam or seen a picture of her? She remains a faceless friend and that too has left an empty feeling- mourning someone you never saw but knew.
Love the poem with its easy flow rhythm and solid rhymes

Sorry for this 'cut-and-paste' response, emrpoems. It's my fault I have fallen so far behind. I just wanted you to know that I appreciate your support and your readership, very much!

In the animation Gungalo seems a bowsprit leading the way. Often I have looked at her signature photo wondering how one could seem to be such an exotic beauty measured equally by the words of her own sensuality. In traditional prose she sometime startled my imagination capturing thoughts I would have liked to make. You know your not that far behind her at times. Yours is a fine tribute.

I'll never forget her written sigh.. each time she approved of what was written, she left an indelible mark on all who knew her, I wrote a tribute to her that brought out the best thoughts I could muster, some people's selfless attitudes leave more than they take, she will be remembered. I think Gracie Ann was collecting poetic tributes, Dean, let her know that you've written one more! A fine poem, in great aabb rhyming and even meter, good one, mate, blessings, Roy.

What a wonderful tribute. This poem was inspired. I felt the strings of it tug at my heart, and make me yearn for her place in heaven. I'm inspired by the selfless scale you climbed to pay her tribute. I only hope to pretend to be as good, but know none of us but by grace deserve the future kingdom. Blessings. Stan

Dean, what a sweetly passionate tribute to this lovely woman. I was new here and did not know her, but by the shear virtue of the many tributes she received, I see I missed a truly talented and caring individual.

This is a beautiful, caring message which I am sure she has heard and dearly appreciates.

Thanks a million, Jean, and Pam taught me a lot when I first came to FS. She taught me how to use animations, and sounds in my posts, and she told me to always be faithful to what you truly have passion for in your writing, be it horror, or romance.

I took her advice and help, and ran with it!

Hi Dean,

What an awesome tribute to Gungalo.

I came on board while she was ill, so I didn't know her. Maureen, on the other hand, has read my work, as I have her. Such a sorrowful time.

You're right about our time and achievements being fleeting. Well done!

Cheers & Blessings

Hey, Buckeye, no problem. I'm not always so quick to answer. Darn, life just gets in the way sometimes.

Last I heard, Maureen was in a coma. So sad. She's a lovely gal.

I didn't know Gungalo, so I don't know what her style was, BUT, I will have to check it out because some of my work has been compared to hers. I take that has a very high compliment.

    Have a good one!
    Cheers...

I would take it as the highest of compliments if I were you, Jax. She was truly one of a kind, and once you read her work, you too will be hooked, just as I was.

Hi Dean,
nothing but respect for you brother, G was something so special... and I know she would see this stellar poem as her reward for services rendered to a talented and like-minded soul.

An acknowledgement to her brilliance in such a poetic melody has once again sparked her light... I thank you for that... for I too, held this amazing wordsmith in the highest of regards.

Perfect meter and rhythm throughout a magic set of thoughts.

With our thoughts we create,
indelible memories,
James.

You are very much into touching tributes these days, Dean. God bless you for being so respectful and thoughtful of those good people in your life. Your poem was lovely and I am so glad you shared it with us. Thank you.

Thanks for your kind and thoughtful comments, gyspsycaravan. I felt I owed at least some sort of tribute to Pam (Gungalo) as I passed her by in the rankings here. She not only taught me how to use animations in my posts (much to the dismay and chagrin of some people), but to write with passion, no matter the topic I chose.

Again, thanks for the thoughtful review. :)

thanks, Linda, and I simply didn't feel right passing her up in the rankings. For as long as i have been a member here, nearly two years now, she has always been either #2, or #3, with Brooke taking up the lead. I felt I at least owed her that much. She really taught me a lot.

Dean: beautiful poem for Pam. You do possess more than spooky thoughts and this one touched my emotions. You know she is in Heaven and will see what you have written. And, she will sweetly smile, nod her head and remember how she taught you. Linda
