I knew her touch briefly, Dean. She was a poet's poet. I was always amazed at how beautiful she could make a 'kiss' or 'a glass of wine before a fire', sound. She was also gracious in the utmost when reviewing or replying to acritique. It is very good of you to pen this lovely poem of gratitude and respect. It's also a measure of the comradery that this strange little world of e-poets develops if you stay long enough. You meet friends, mentors, artists, competitors, narks, and the odd saint. You can choose which you wrote of.

EVERY TIME I think you have written a masterpiece of ultimate compassion, another beautiful verse comes along that usurps the one before. It truly is a pleasure to call you a friend and for that I am ever grateful.

your friend always

dip (with a tear in my eye and hope in my heart)

With a tear in my eye and hope in my heart
I read your beautiful verse of love
It is clear that I sigh, and it's this love I impart
But my love can never be enough

With a smile on my face and a feeling of contentment
I sit and read your perfect poem
It's your love I can't replace, never hate or resentment
You bring me back wherever my muse may roam

With you by my side, now and forever
I want to spend every parting breath with you
And I say this with pride, our friendship will never sever
Because you are always the one who knows how to

Bring me back to a better space
Brings me back to a better time
It's your love that I could never replace
And I say this openly in this rhyme

For every tear drop that runs across my face
For every emotion that you extol
It's your love that I could never replace
And it comes from my heart and soul

CHORUS:
Comes from my heart and soul my love
Comes from my heart and soul
With a tear in my eye and hope in my heart
It's my love I will always give to you, whole

Dean, this is so much how I felt when I saw that others were approaching Gungalo's spot in the rankings, and I'm so pleased to see that I am not the only one who thought of it (and misses her.)

I've never been one to pay much attention, honestly, to either the rating or the ranking system - I actually ended up there the first time out of mere curiosity. I was always saying, "It's publishing I'm after. FanStory isn't the real world." But guess what? It is - a world of its own, yes, but still comprised of many people who read our work and either love it or don't. Gungalo's was extremely popular, as it deserved to be, and this poem honors that fact, and a woman who gave generously of her time and heart. Bless you for this beautiful tribute to her.

Dean;
A new parent very well and she was a very good writer, but whether or not we passed her in ranking is another story. She is ever immortalized at her rank and forever will be , or until the realization rights differently. Do not get me wrong here, please, She was more than just a writer but an ever glowing wonder and a gift from our Lord Jesus Christ. I will always remember her as a writer of romance and indeed she was a very good when it writing these pieces of romance.
Your writing was very touching and a great tribute and laudation to a very wonderful woman.
Your Rhine is being neither force nor labor. It helped with your rhythmic flow which seem to flow smoothly throughout your writing.
Your spiritualistic imagery was very descriptive and expressive throughout your writing: "I am nestling with the Angels, sleep on billowing clouds of white, brightness surrounds me every day, I am astounded by the sight. An extranet personification of her life being now under the arms of the Lord Jesus Christ and forever living in paradise.
Thank you for sharing and posting this for everyone to read and may the good Lord be with you always, Dean.
Alex
PS: Do not get me wrong on my first paragraph if I seem to blunt or disheartening But there have been many here at FanStory Who have passed away and I know of six. All deemed to be great writers and all that should be saved is their ranks being frozen in time.

I am sorry to say that as a newbie I did not have the pleasure of meeting this lady. For that is my loss, as I hear the love and respect that you have for her. What a tribute that you have written for her. I know she is smiling down at you from her pillow cloud. Thank you for sharing her memory with us.

What a beautiful reminder of how close FS members can get and how some reach out and give of their time to help others. She gave you good advice. See how many prompts you win? Your writing is awesome.

I think I feel some of your pain but this poem kind of 'transcends' pain. I mean I feel good when reading it. Talks about something good and not everyday. Some one special. A lot of people are dying in my life too right now.
Its sad. I will see them all again under better circumstances and have the perfect relationship with them that I want and will be able. I'm sorry for your loss. I hope you can 'make friends by unrighteous mammon that that they may accept you into everlasting habitations'. Jesus loves you!

This is an awseome Ode to our sweet Pam. She left an imprint on me as well...like everyone she came in contact with, I would suppose. She was such a tender and beautiful spirit here with us, so I can only imagine how great she much look with wings. We love you still Pam
