A lovely write Dean and as you say a nod to Gungalo. I must admit I felt a little sad a day or two ago when I saw she had slipped down, and as you say with Maureen now just clinging on it is a sad time for those of us who are fans. You've done well with this one, very emotional read/write.

I never knew her personally, but I truly wish I had. You have portrayed a beautiful, sincere and heartfelt poem that I'm sure she is smiling down with grace and humility having had the wondrous adventure of becoming a refined writer and been a part of so many lives that she had touched in an awesome way.
Even I welt up with tears as the instrumental piece was being played with the words that you had written.

This is lovely, Dean. The perfect nod to Gungalo. As always, your presentation is a journey, a performance. Pam would like this.
We are in the palm of God's hand.
"Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands;
your walls are continually before me." Isaiah 49:16
Pam knew it, and I believe that's why she wrote her poetry, never releasing that her days were numbered. And we, Maureen's friends, need to know that her name is written there too... in the very palm of God's hand.
Love this verse,
"So like the one whose writes inspired me to go on trying,
who never let on, dusk 'til dawn, inside her, life was dying.
To Pam, with every poem I pen, each and every line conceived,
I dedicate each, and pray I reach the greatness she achieved"

Thanks so much, Kimbob, and had it not been for Pam's encouragement and guidance, I would have never attepmted to write poetry in the first place. Although, I say with tongue firmly implanted in cheek, I'm sure there are some here who wish I never had.

unquestionably a highlight, and her spirit shined through her writing and

I simply did not feel right passing her in the standings without paying some sort of tribute to her kindness and her guidance. If it weren't for Pam, I never would have even attempted to write poetry. I owed her this much, at least.

I was so shocked when I returned to Fan story after two years and discovered that the sight has lost one it greatest poets. She was one of a kind and there was always a word of encouragement for the fledgling poet. I loved her sonnets. The just found the right cord in my heart. The is and appropriate ode to a very special person. I enjoyed the read.
