Dear Phyllis,

I give you an A for creativity. This is a hoot to read. It is funny that Blaze could resist Luke's er Lucifer's charms. I imagine that Luke has some nefarious plans in mind for Ginger's wedding.

One little nit for me. Lucifer is certainly vain but I don't see him as not very bright. Vain, devious, dangerous, daunting, deranged, but I see him as VERY bright. So much so that he often outwits himself. (LOL)

Warm regards,

Winslow

I know you set out to prove Luke was a joke and buffoon - but if, in continuing we should consider Luke a real adversary (and Blaze a real contender) I am hoping we will see some instances that back up "She'd seen the Devil earn his reputation plenty of times,.

It seems like Blaze will be a formidable challenger! Looking forward to seeing her blossom. :-)

Thanks so much, Lorraine. Yes, we will. In the previous book he threw rocks at the poor condemned souls in the pit and threw his minions into the pit for dumb reasons. I don't want him to be TOO blatantly cruel tho, since he's supposed to be comical. Blaze is going to kill people, and I can't even let that be gross... might be hard... hmmm...

The story is off to an easy start. Lucifer is missing Ginger, and Blaze is feeling threatened. I wonder how loyal Blaze will really be in the long run.

Wow, this is some creative work. I like it! Wonder what kind of havoc ol' "Luke" will create for his old flame. Interesting storyline. Best wishes on the rest of this!

Thank you so much for taking a look. If you're interested, Chapter Two is posted also, "Blaze Battles Lucifer"... of course she wins. :)

This chapter hooked me from the first paragraph. Lucief is a fascinating subject if done right. The story quickly dives right into conflict, action, power and personalities. The back and forth between Lucief and Blaze could have taken place in any high power board room between a CEO and his highest ranking employees. I can't wait to read chapter 2.

How in the world did I miss reviewing the first chapter of your new book. I must have read it and been called away for
some reason. Well here we go again. Blaze has his number and she will be as hard to handle as Ginger was. That is a good name for her by-the-way. LOL But can she stop Luke from going to Tara's wedding? To be continued.... Haha. Nancy

A stupendous beginning to your new hellishly entertaining book, Phyllis. Luke as a wedding guest is a great concept. For some reason this line cracked me up:

"Maybe if you'd loosen up a bit, I might overlook your attitude."

Even without having read Demon: Ginger's Story, this starts well and piques my interest. A couple of minor wording suggestions:

After spending the summer in Hell's lowest level, across from the lava pits, he'll do anything for a second chance. - I'd drop the lava pits clause. Sounds too informational for familiar conversation.

I'm sorry, and I'm not sorry that I said I'm sorry." - omit "that". Just let it roll naturally. It's a good line.

Looking forward to the next installment. :) nancy

I'm a fan of your glossary, already. It helps as a tool and a reminder. Reader friendly; I really like that. I'm a forgetful person and procrastinator at large. A wise idea. Love the colorful cartoon image which is idea for this chapter. Penned to perfection, like the slang. Obviously, I missed a few episodes, but this picks up from where I left off -- in my mind. A jolly read for me. I was entertained. I'm a happy camper. Perfection equals six stars. Well penned, lots of live action! Glad you are with us, still. Wish you health, wealth and prosperity. wackydo

Thank you, thank you, my sweet Wacky friend. I really appreciate all your comments... and the special six stars too. :)

I'm all healed up and ready to get back in the ole saddle, tho I can't post as often now, with Amanda coming in less than two weeks... really busy getting her room ready and digging thru debris trying to clean this neglected house. LOL! All I do anymore is sit here at FS. LOL!

Phyllis, good to have you back with a great start to the newest installment now with Blaze and Luke. You've done a great job of showing how denial is a powerful thing. Well done. :0 GracieAnn
