A commentary of barriers at times we
are confronted by, and so we must
steel ourselves, leap out of that circle
onf comfort and leap into the
unknown which may or may not
work out, but if we don't try we
will never know.
Well done

Another way to express a leap of faith. Love the assonance in line four : damn the path. Obstacles and options, while not technically alliteration work to make the poem musical.

I couldn't agree more. Must be a nice Gym class, to let kids roam around while you work out.. a lot of those are concerned with safety of kids around their equipment. Supervision in this one must be pretty good.

My daughter loves My Gym - the teachers are great. For toddlers they're not really learning gymnastics. They have various supervised equipment and circle time where they do various exercises and lots of free time, and they all have a parent with them. Sawyer's favorite activity is to play in the balls. LOL

'Leap' is an extremely well-written piece. Short, succinct and very much to the point. This talented poet's work is lined with the golden threads of truth. It was a pleasure to review a work of this standard.

Sometimes life throws us stumbling blocks to overcome. We can stumble around or take a leap of faith as Sawyer did.
We can take the innocent leap into another pathway.

Wow! You are definitely on top of your game with this amazing piece. Straight and to the point has never told such a great story as this work has. I am a huge fan of taking a leap of faith and if that doesn't work, Dam it!
God Bless!

Another fun verse from your boundless, creative imagination, Brooke. Great fun, it almost makes me feeling like playing leap-frog again. :)

To bad Life doesn't offer a reality check Time Out. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very interesting read.

I think this poem is sharp, neat, and clean. The message speaks of alternative one can do to escape or get by some trouble in the face of obstacles. "Damn the path and leap."
