8-) It looks like Sawyer has learned to damn the path and leap!
Four short lines - but a lesson to be held on to throughout your long, long life:
Either forge ahead through the obstacles (leap, serpentine, or slay) or stay frozen I'm place and cower.
Great message! :-)

Children have a lot to teach us about fearlessness, and the willingness to act solely on faith... and we can see them take flight... if we allow them to!
Liked this one a lot, Brooke!

I believe, Brooke, we've had this conversation before. I think that the adults who are around children the most, teach by example. And, your wisdom written here, is not just for children. Very nice.

You know, Brooke, I really like your poems because they remind me of my children when they were very young, and then there are my grandchildren. You always lift me up and make my day better. So, the 'thank you' goes to you.

This poem reminds me of a poster I have on my wall that says, " obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goals." Therefore as you say, metaphorically, a leap of faith is called for. Well done, Brooke.

I love your epigrams, Brooke. This is so cool:
at times the only option is --
to damn the path and leap.
You are right, my friend! And this statement could be taken on its face or metaphorically. I've done it a few times in my life, sometimes to land on my face (lol). But I never shirk a challenge.
Excellent job. I wish someone sponsored an epigram contest. I don't think we ever had one.
Have a beautiful Sunday, love, Y.

Lovely action picture that complements your epigram very well. It looks like he is good at gym and fast as well. God bless your grandson.

A leap of faith can change the path we choose to take. Children don't seem to have stumbling blocks like adult do - no warning voices telling them "don't do this because you will be sorry," they just carry on learning in the school of hard knocks. Well done nana.
