Excellent

I find the 'minute' format very difficult to retain smooth flow, Mary, even with perfect meter, as the lines are so abrupt.

Maybe 'wields' the colour'.

Apart from an excellent tribute to a top artist, this has a sense of fun which I really enjoyed.

I didn't mean to criticise your excellent poem, and my comments were meant in general about the form, Mary, though maybe you didn't take it that way and I'm being over-sensitive. :-)
