This is well done and you creatively described Halloween without using the word in your poem. I love your choice of words, "agonized shrieks pierce" and "forlorn screams." Your last line reminds the reader it is all in fun as "fall fun has begun" reminding us that it is that time again for Halloween! Your picture accompanies your poem quite well. I really enjoyed your piece! Good luck in the contest.

Yes, fear is a big business and scarier yet that there are many such things that go 'bump' in the night. But nothing that a double-barrel might not scare away...yet, if you think about...ah won't go there.

Yesss! It is that time of the year again, Heh.Heh Halloween in no longer for the kiddies, but has evolved into grown people reverting back to their childhood except sweet little kiddie costumed we reveal in ghouls, vampires and other beastly and bloody ones. I liked this because of the . . . er . . . artwork, of which I am positive my first mistake in one of the ghouls, the one on the right. I'm shivering as I type.

Hallowe'en has never been my thing since it has become so dangerous. The night time always turns out cold, damp and miserable out as well. So I think even God abhors such festivities. my own personal feelings.

We have friends that go all out for Halloween.i am really sad but I will miss it this year..but I will be at an authors conference pitching my novel...way scarier....eeeeeeeeek
