My Dear Brooke,
I have long felt some affinity with your father. Don't ask me why. Anyway, this little gem confirms that we could be equal spirits. I particularly like your tribute in the last two lines.
Best regards
Reg

How very fortunate you are to have such beautiful memories.
A father's love, understanding and gift of undivided attention sounds like pure bliss.
A garden can be a sanctuary of beauty and precious memories or a lifeless, overgrown reminder of a sad past.
This lovely series of rhyming quatrains shines with the positivity and beauty of life depicted through the eyes of that special relationship between father and child.
A virtual six.

This sounds like a very relaxing way to tend a garden. It would seem your father worked long, hard hours to provide for his family, he deserved the time to sit back and just enjoy looking out over the "garden" growing around the house.

I do really like this tribute to wild flowers. Imaginative comparison with the robin. Your father had his priorities right. Set time aside to just enjoy the natural beauty around this. And there's also a great pleasure in the colors of a sunset.

Such a cute story in a poem. I admired your rhyming quatrains. After a long day at work, the last thing on your mind should be working in the garden! However, sometimes you have to. I liked that he tended to it from the comfort of his hammock.

This is a beautiful poem that the author has created with this piece of work. I have fond memories of my father too. He worked long hours too to provide for his family. He also did housework, cooked and worked on the farm I his hours off work. He never stopped or complained and he had a great sense of humour.
