One man's weed can be another man's flower. One man's idea of gardening is another man's painful duty. So love the weed flowers in all their splendor. All the while knowing that God planted the garden.

Brooke, I enjoyed the rhyme and construction of this poem as much as the nostalgic motion picture of your childhood. The Heavenly Father provided a view for your father that was unsurpassed. Weeds are beautiful and who determines their value compared to prized flowers anyway? Queen Anne's Lace was one of my favorites. :0 GracieAnn

I love Queen Anne's Lace too - I associate that with nearby Valley Forge National Park where we would often take a drive, but none grew in my lawn. Thanks so much, GracieAnn :-) Brooke

Sounds like your father was a very wise man. I'm not a handyman, either, but never would have thought of that. As far as the poem goes, exceptionally smooth, as always.
