This was not only a neat stand-alone chapter, but you brought everything together for a satisfying ending.
Inspiring to have Herb Jr. in touch with his dad, and although Jr. has no talent at all for auto repair, he has his departed dad showing him what to do.
I like the fact that "In Four Bits, not all things can be explained."

I enjoyed your rendition of the mysterious " Herb Granger jnr," It still remains a little " mysterious " it was a long journey to identifying and confirming Herb was who he says he was, is Herb senior inhabiting the body of his son? hence the institutionalising of Herb jnr. I guess we'll never know! Well done, well written I enjoyed it! Blessings, Roy.

It was a brilliant ending, Lee. It was the only way it could end. Now we know that Herb Junior is Herb Junior, and he is now Jimmy's new partner, I think you given yourself a way back into Four-Bits for more wonderful carrying ons. Oh, Indy thanks for this special review. I think I've renewed my connection to Four-Bits, so more stories might be forthcoming.
It might be fun to look in on Jimmy and Junior as they deal with the Herb Sr's spirit. And then there's Smitty.
