It certainly worked for me - this jazzy poem. Thought that was what it sounded like even before I read your author notes so it must be good. You got it across fine. I think though, you are being a bit ambitious regarding Louis Armstrong, but maybe he would have made a great job singing it as he did with everything else. Warm regards Dorothy

First, I had to look up the tune so I cold embrace the rhythm. Once that was done this was a really fun read which I enjoyed immensely. Nicely done and I thank you so much for sharing this with me.

No one can deny your creativity, Vic. You are certainly one creative son-of-a-gun (What...? What did you think I was going to say?)
Please forgive me, but Ba-ba-balck sheep kept popping into me head as I read this. I did look up the tune on YouTube to help me out with the rhythm, as I wasn't familiar with the tune. It helped me out a lot. Perhaps you could include the video at the bottom of your post for others who don't know the tune. it might help them out as well.
Good stuff!

This poem demands to be read aloud and I am looking forward to hearing it. Bouncing baby becomes a bouncing babe lulled by wolf whistles. Piano me down- you tickle those keys well, Satchmo.

Liked this a lot - I must admit with the Ba, ba, ba at the beginning all I could think of was that oldie - Ba, Ba, Ba, Ba, Barbara Ann and I could not get the tune out of my head. So, if it ever happens that I get amnesia and the tune leaves - am sure I will be able to enjoy this a bit more! Nicely done. AT=/

You had me dancin' and singin' with this one, Victor! I love the repetition of words (sounds) to add a fun impact.
Your use of alliteration, rhyme and enjambment add a great flow and rhythm. I particularly like:
Little tip-toe
a shoulder toss so
eyes beneath
are rollin' to an' fro
Great! Thank for sharing. Alana

I must admit I don't know the melody or the rhythm, but the wording wold have to be jazz, almost colloquial in language, but exactly what it's saying I'm not sure, well done, I think, blessings, Roy.

victortouche: I don't know the tune but as I read the piece, it created its own bouncy tune which worked just fine. This is original, creative, fresh, an eye opener this morning. Great work! Virtual six for this one; I'm out of the real thing. livelylinda
