Brooke, I like your poem about all the things in life to smile about. Nice aabb rhyme scheme. Alliteration of m's and s' s. We can gain a lot of joy from life's simple things. 8-)

Brooke, I really enjoyed the not-often-heard meter. Does it have a name? It is pure and simple with a lot of wisdom rolled into each aabb rhyme. :0 GracieAnn

Another fine look at life. It flows so smoothly. Fine visuals, alliteration and use of enjambment.
I loved this line: pink upon my kitties' noses. It's so sweet,so familiar.

Quite the debonair hair style. If joy could be measured by the smile... I enjoyed every word in this ... smile while you work, this task could take a long, long while.
Well done Brooke,
:-) Carolyn

It looks like Sawyer is having a wonderful childhood. If only we would take the time to smile at the little things as adults, the world would be a better place. A nice, smooth rhyme flow with excellent descriptions to capture your readers' attention. T2

That is one happy looking little boy. We have a big garden tub too and the grandchildren love to get in there and splash around in the bubbles. The one corner is rather deep and I've even found them using that as a sliding board. I have to remind them that its a bathtub not a swimming pool and never do that when Mom-mom isn't in the room to catch them if something goes wrong.
