I wonder what was the survival rate for soldiers of that era. It couldn't have been very high. This is another interesting chapter that is very well written. Saw no obvious errors.

Good chapter. Breaking it up like that really kept things moving at a good pace. I love the trumpet ruse, now when they really do charge, sounding the trumpets, this army will ignore it and be slaughtered. Great chapter. It was more action and less angst.
