Very nicely done, Brooke. I am going to try one of
these poems one day when I get brave! I always enjoy
reading them, but have never tried one before.

Glorious artwork, it's a wonderful storm. I love how you have taken something as huge and overwhelming like a storm, and honed in on the tiniest part of it, the starfish. Well written

A very engaging Rispetto poem which captures the power of the sea and the fear of the creatures at its mercy.
The rhyme scheme is perfect and the image suits the might and power of the sea as it vents anger on the shore.

Lighthouse
lighthouse shine so bright
shine in the darkest blue sea
shine across the darkest of nights
shine across the ragging waves
Lighthouse keep on shining oh so bright
On this cold windy night would you share a cup of tea with me?

This is a little unusual for you - a 'no fair' fight between a raging storm and a harmless little starfish!
The personification of the two combatants Ican we call the starfish a combatant?) adds interest, especially with the direct speech in the first stanza.
Rhyme and meter spot on.

Hi Brooke,
The power of the sea and the rage of wind in a storm against the shore is awe inspiring to say the least. I think your rispetto captures it well.

A great poetic description of a storm raging and while the poor starfish cowers in fear at it's fury. As always, the storm blows itself out and calm once more reigns, but too late for the starfish.

I absolutely adore storms, Brooke, and this does homage to the intense energy that they sometimes have. I also love the calm after the storm, which is also beautifully expressed. Thanks. Caroline

Life expressing its desire for release and its attachement to living. Your poetry is excellent and very expressive. I see from your bio that you like to write in the classic poetic forms. I don't know alot about that , but I am learning each time I read one of your poems.
