All things must pass. That is what came to mind after having read this stellar piece of poetic art. This was a short poem that has an excellent format in its few words of description. It resonates to the title of the piece really well... John

The release of pent-up rage can be cathartic, as your poem suggests. Inevitably those in the way at the time feel the full brunt of it. Poor starfish! I had hoped it might survive but, alas, you have exercised the poet's prerogative and killed it off in the last line, making this fine little rispetto a tragedy, as so often is the case when uncontrolled anger is unleashed.

What a unique poem - from a starfish point of view. Your rispetto described both the timid starfish and the roaringly angry storm quite well. The imagery, rhyme and rhythm were flawless. An excellent short read. Blessings, Linda

Nice poem. Excellent artwork.Illuminating author notes. My favoritelines were:
A Storm came crashing toward the shore --
"I feel the need to free my soul."
Great job!

Really loved the descriptiveness of this and I could see and feel the storm raging towards the shore. Very visual I could almost taste the saltiness on my lips. Also thank you for the authors notes. Something new I have learnt yet again. A Rispetto. Thank you for explaining this form of poetry. Loved the poem. Genya

Nice respetto (that name just makes me think of rice) . The storm seemed to feed the desire in the waves. Cool idea. Great picture too :) Anita

Our poet can plumb the depths of the uncanny in the simplest way while she assiduously polishes up another verse form. Both challenges are of equal importance. It makes for easy reading and holds our attention. I like the personification of the storm and of the starfish. Imagine the misfortune of being born a starfish. -Ekim777

When I review anyone's work, I look
not for flaws in mis-spelled words
or sundry other things, but rather
is it like a song, that lingers in my
heart, and the melody I hear long
after I have finished the tale.
And so, whenever I open one of
your well told tales in so many
different and varied expressions of
poetic art, I am amazed and never
disappointed.
Well done
