I love ocean storms and you captured this one in your lovely rhymed poem.
Sadly the starfish did not survive.
Great artwork. Wonderful imagery.
Well done.

This gives great voice to the storm that has to get all of its anger out but the poor starfish takes the lashing. Great rhyme and meter:)

Powerful storm images, written in excellent style , great word choice
that express so well emotions of " I feel the need to free my soul"
Love that and the panic of the fishes ... Pili

Brooke: You are so clever with words. You have taken a stormy sea, which is an old story, but made it uniquely yours, centered on a starfish. Bravo! Linda

A perfect Rispetto - follows all the rules for this form of poem. Four lines in abab rhyme and the second stanza in rhyming couplets. Good poem and fine use of personification for the storm and the starfish. Warm regards Dorothy x

So,very nice.

Your captured storm,
in classic form,
was perfect in line,
and metered rhyme.
Your canvas page,
made image rage,
while stanzas four,
needed no more.

Again, well done.

Few people, myself included, ever stop to consider how violent storms that occur at sea affect ssea creatures. What are the effects on the fish, the seals, the whales, etc. Your lovely poem just gave me an idea of what possibly takes place beneath the sea surface during a violent storm at sea and I appreciate that. Great job.

Oh, that poor little starfish. This poem really brings to mind how cruel nature is. However, if I don't think of this piece literally, the storm is representative of all negativity that is unleashing on planet earth. Murderers, too, feel satisfied when they accomplish their horrendous deeds. A good one, Brooke. Hugs, Lou

thank you so much, Louise. Actually, I meant it to be more about perspective. A mother lion kills a poor little zebra baby, and in doing so feeds her family. One mom nourishes her family. Another mom is left without her child. Even in human society that happens. Two desperately unemployed men are up for a job. One gets it and his family celebrates. The other man loses out and his family goes to bed hungry again. Such is life. Brooke
