Very touching theme.
This had a good rhyme scheme and the meter: 3 quatrains/2 couplets repeated gave a good cadence to the work.
The emotional tension was pronounced as the poem began and your loneliness was highlighted, but the conclusion brought the welcomed resolve.

Very nice lines with rhymes that play well from beginning to end.
First love is never forgotten. We have the capacity to love... to give ourselves away to others, to share our life with many friends. Loss on one hand can be a blessing on another.

That is so true, our emotions can take us from the depth of despair to the great heights of happiness. We can share other peoples' joy and share their grief. I have learnt that on this site especially. Thank you so very much for your wonderful review. :) Sandra.
