He fashions a promise so true
that the rain and the sun mixed together
make a covenant we can make, too.

I have never thought about this before that the rainbow is made by sun and rain...and therefore a metaphor good times bad times...love this
God bless

That poem blessed me in it's simplicity yet it is from the heart and spiritual understanding. I especially lied the second stanza.
There may be other things to mention but for me at was a good read. Thanks.

I like the way you have compared life with a multi-faceted rainbow. Good use of metaphorical and descriptive language to convey your message. It also conveys that the rainbow has a spiritual effect on us. Enjoyable read and good luck in the contest. Faye

Nicely done very readable in its meter and form, four stanzas of rhyming and great faith in eye opening response to Him and to His plans for us.

"His promise is rich as His rainbow. His plan is as wide as the sea. His crayons of faith and renewal bring colors that soothe you and me." - This stanza is the best by far as it totally captures the essence of the rainbow's promise with ease and simplicity. I wish you all the best in the voting and thank you so much for sharing this with me.

How I wish that this poem is classified as a spiritual poem which it is. I love the progression and the linking pace of the poem from stanza to stanza. A very well tailored thoughts, well delivered.

"The Rainbow in Me" is a lovely poem that rhymes well and comes through in its inspiring and uplifting message. "His promise is rich as His rainbow" is a line that connects everything in your poem. The reference to His crayons and mixing the good and tough times comes through as positive lines in your verses, leaving the reader with a sense of hope and a powerful reminder of God's promise.

This poem is beautifully written, and the picture matches it so well. I am impressed by the writing style. It painted a picture for me. It made me think about my life, and how true this poem is about God's promises. He does give us hardship and then he gives us a prize, love and forgiveness and eternal life, for getting through it. Keep going!
