This is so well written, you have such a wonderful grasp of the power of words, and use them sparingly. Less is always more in poetry for me, I dislike poems that use 14 stanzas to tell me the sky is blue. I so enjoy the way you write.

Comforting to read on a night when news is breaking of another beheading. This time of an aid worker out doing good. I believe the Bridegroom will soon be appearing, but until that happens lets us continue to keep oil in our lamps.

Absolutely divine poem.I liked the rhyme, the words,the theme.Great job! My favorite lines were:
This Jesus died upon that tree,
By love we join, by faith agree.
To be conjoined like heaven's twins,
To be betrothed, His bride and kin.
