This sentiment is something we can all relate to. All the what ifs could drive us crazy if we let them. Your last line brilliantly expresses this. Nicely written. Hugs, Lou

Yes and there are so many times on our earthly journey when we wonder what would have happened if we had indeed 'gone the other way?'

"Never look back. Something may be gaining on you." Satchel Page gave us that one and the never look back is good advice whether something is gaining or not. Smile here.

What if...?I think we all ask ourselves that question from time to time. Our choices make us who we are. Would a different path have changed us? A thought provoking look at life. The road less travelled has its benefits and its issues. It's not often we consider that is had its bumps too-- and the other road that we did not choose? We will never know.
Excellent rhymes. It looks like you met all the requirements for the contest. Best of luck.

I like the message of your poem. You did a great job with the rhyme pattern. Your poem had great flow. I like the way you used ellipses, those . . . to show pause (more than a comma or dash). I enjoyed reading your poem more than once and even out loud to get the beat. I see nothing to change. Good job and good luck in the contest.

I love the way you wrote this! What a great entry for this contest! I love to write, but I don't have the flair that I see in so many writers on this site, and you are an exceptional writer from what I have seen. Good luck in the contest!

I love this poem. I'm going to read them all, then vote. But this one really has a chance with me. I love the different paths of the road. Don't like the one less travel though. Maybe because I've watched too much spooky TV. LOL

Very good.
The theme is well presented is this quatrain form. The rhyme is simple, not over done and phrasing gives a feel of classic poetry to me. I particularly like the closing with the question that brought a strong element of self-reflection into focus.
Well done.
