What was Reagan once said- trees cause pollution? Trees are indeed a gift, not just for the eyes, but really are the lungs of the planet. Needless to say, I'm a fellow tree-hugger.

Truly exceptional, especially I loved the last line, " respect their purpose" nature always does. Beautiful picture compliments your poem, best of luck.

I enjoyed this haiku very much especially the message it conveys to the readers that trees have a very important role as the lungs of the Earth. Well done and good luck.

We definitely wouldn't be able to live without them. This to the point and conveyed your convictions in just a few short sentences.

As a tree-hugger myself, I felt every word of your poem is true. Trees are living creations of God and should be respected. Our lives would be much, much harder without all the gifts created by trees. Excellent contest entry. Best of luck.

Hi Linda, you are so very right...and they need to stop cutting them down so we can have flyers in our mail box...I would rather do with the flyers...thank you for a wonderful review...

I like everything about your poem. I like the words 'respect them' the best. You summed up trees in a great way. No changes needed. Good job.

Tree! Where would we be without tree? Who doesn't love trees? I know I do. I'm trying to branch out. I once knew a guy named Douglas Fir. This Hi-Coo really has deep roots and sturdy branches. One of the best gifts God ever came through with, much better than volcanoes, say. Or Ebola. Now I have to leaf. Ha!
