I really like that art work of the plant in the middle of the hand. Like us in the middle of the hand of Christ. I loved the 5-7-5 poem. Great content.

Nicely done. Your 5-7-5 for the tree hugger prompt
was a perfect entry. I liked the message and the
ending where you said to respect their purpose!

I was recently saying this to a friend that if we were in a box with several plants that we could breathe because plants and trees give off the air we need to breathe and we give them the carbon dioxide they need to live. We must then respect them as ourselves.

Dear Author,
Very beautifully you have written your poem, Tree-Hugger 5-7-5. Trees are the sources to take carbon oxide back which are bad for human and provide oxygen to human beings. They are how much kind to serve human. Therefore, you have told their purpose is respective.

And wish to win the contest.
Thanks and regards.

Hi Mystery Poet,
This is a good entry for the Tree-Hugger 5-7-5 contest. In just 17 syllables, you tell us that trees provide us with fresh air. And that they are a gift from God.
"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." James 1:17
And finally, a warning: "respect their purpose". At the rate we cut them down, I wonder! Like clean water, what are we leaving for our grandchildren?
Nicely penned! Good Luck in the contest.
cheers
Kimbob

The question your 5-7-5 poem brings to the fore is whether the gift from God is the tree (for its beauty and majesty or whether it's the life giving air that God gives man through the trees.

But, I quibble.

Good poem.

Greetings author,

Excellent use of the contest prompt! I like the message contained in this short little verse. How often we take the wonders of creation for granted. Is it just by chance humans inhale and exhale carbon dioxide while plants expel oxygen? I think not. My best to you with this contest entry. ;). Chrisfiore

This poem makes the most from the few allowed words. Trees are so important and under-appreciated. Your poem reminds us of the blessings they really are.

"God's Gift"
Want to see what life without trees would be? Wrap your head in a laundry bag :-) In a few words you celebrate both trees and the Creator. Nice job and best of luck in the contest--Ted
