Brooke, what a great job of rhyming on this quatrain
poem. I like the flow. Most of all I like the message
of the beauty and color God created. Soon will be
the beauty of the Autumn colors.

Another lovely poem, Brooke. Dandelions and Ladybugs are, I think, among your favourites when writing for Sawyer. They certainly have a lovely appeal. Beautiful words expressing the wonderful colours God has created for us to enjoy. xsx Sandra

And this is how a child's imagination is... innocent and pure! You've painted your poem with very beautiful colors. It's amazing to see how much beauty and color nature has to offer. I like how you mention dandelions in many of your poems. :)
Loved the last verse! Perfect rhymes, syllable count, and meter as always.

A fun read for children & adults alike..It made me smile, & too, laugh at the description of that ladybug. Getting over a cold, so reading this this was a nice way to try to recuperate.

'When God Created Color' is an extremely well-written and delightfully descriptive piece. This talented poet's work was a pleasure to both read and review. God, is indeed the master painter.

I am always amazed that someone coined the phrase 'Robin Red Breast" and these orange-breasted birds have forever since been misnamed and called red-breasted.
Such is habit is it not?
Possible the difficulty rhyming orange bears some responsibility. Also 'Robin Orange Breast' lacks alliteration.

Thanks so much, Pyrrho, for the laugh and the review. Hey, I'm supposed to be "white" too, and I'm here to tell you that I can't really find a white spot on me. LOL :-) Brooke

What a feel good piece of poetry to boost the spirit and bring forth a smile. It is good to stop and revel in the beautiful colors of nature all around us. I love the lady bug and her "polka dot behind" and stanza two with the sunshine and the "dandelions, just as bright, but easier to hold".
My last six for the week, but this is just so cheerful it deserves a bright shiny star. Debi

Awesome sets of rhyming quatrains. I love how you imagined God created colors. The picture of the lady bug is stunning. I dont kniw how one could look at the beauty of the world and not know for sure that God visited it. 8-)

Have you ever imagined a world devoid of color? How boring it would be.
When God first drew in color,
I bet He painted dawn,
but one thing I do know for sure --
He visited my lawn.
We really don't have to go too far to get our fill.
Thanks for reminding us of those things we too often take for granted.
