I love that this brought the grand scheme of things to how it affected you. The line about the lady bug behind made me giggle. Great descriptive words that brought the images out and made them very vivid. Wonderfully done. Gretchen

What a charming idea! I love that:When God first drew in color,I bet He painted dawn. It gives God's splendour in nature a nice touch up; simplifying yet elevating the concept in my mind. I had to giggle at the spotty behind on the lady bug. You've created a very enjoyable vision of how God went about things. Thank you.

Love the imagery, the descriptions. I'll bet it did it so we'd remember what's what, You know--green side up. You make it look easy, Brooke. Kenny

I think of all the types of poetry you write, this form is my favourite because the simple rhyme and flow is so easy to fall into. Wonderful imagery. I always love how you manage to make it seem like you appreciate everything in life. It's so positive and optimistic.

Hello Brooke,
Lovely piece of Children Poetry being depicted in colorful imagination!
Wording is simple and matching the theme.
Smooth flow with nice rhyming scheme and lively imagery.
Keeping in mind the little children, these lines are particularly worth noting:
"When God first drew in color,
I bet He painted dawn,
but one thing I do know for sure --
He visited my lawn."

Amen in nature may we have eyes to see all the color of the rainbow, all the colors of Heaven, all the colors of God's heart of love. Vary well writing with the pen and expressed with a matching photo! It's nice to see fellow poets work of art, work of heart. Would you been my Friend, my Fan on my page? I would love to share with and learn from you.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review, Charlieboy. Because I have about 1400 fans, I stopped becoming the fan of those fans a long time ago or I would have dozens and dozens of post notifications each day. I also teach on the site, and my posts concerning classes and assignments would get lost. What I do is reciprocate reviews, and that way I do "follow" the people who read my posts. I think I often end up reviewing them more than their fans do :-) Brooke

I will be following you here and there and looking into joining a class or two you know finding my place where in this would of writers and co poets :)

Yes indeed. Nature is full of wonderful colours. I often marvel at the variety of wildlife. I bought a house last year and I am getting to really enjoy my garden as well.

I couldn't he;p but chuckle as this reminded me of that silly little ditty:
When God gave out noses, I thought he said roses
And said, 'Make mine a big red one.'
When God gave out chins, I thought he said gins
And said, 'Make mine a double.'....
The clever tweak to our perception is what makes this piece so lovely - now everyone can imagine the Creator setting out with His paintbrushes...

See now, after a post like that, you should find a picture of your lawn and follow up on this line of reasoning. I can only hope it looks better than mine does right now.. lol. Thanks for the pleasant thoughts of color, it is well received.
