You show a lot of imagination and weave it so well in your poetry. This is another creative example of well written verses that tell a story of wonder. You definitely have a way with words and rhyme them so well and succinctly.

A moment of musing on the sheer joy of the presence of color in our lives and on our doorstep - colors we frequently shut out in our daily grind

Love lady bugs!!!
In a short little poem, you have captured all the those mundane, insignificant little things that so often go unnoticed and underappreciated in the rush of life.
A happy toned poem that makes the reader want to around for all those beautiful things you mentioned. Made me smile to read. Fantastic imagery. Nice pacing, pauses give one an opportunity to take in the sights, so to speak. Just for a moment, I watched your ladybug walk across a leaf and saw the sun share its shine with a lonely dandelion.
Another fine, fine fun poem...

Oh, this one is delightful, Brooke. Some of us at times, fail to see the beautiful colours in our neighbourhood, around us all the time wherever we go, but especially in nature. I loved this one, Giddy

What a fantastic poem, Brooke! I seriously don't know how you can consistently come up with something to write about every day and always have it perfect!

Hi Brooke,
"...that lovely little lady bug with polka dot behind"...that was sweet! As a miner, I've always loved the color of gold, lol, although I don't have "gold fever" anymore. As with the miners of old, I generally sell what I find, but I loved the idea that it grows in your front yard, also, lol...very original thought.
This is a wonderful write about one of my favorite colors, well done.
All my best, Bill

This is just lovely, as your poetry always is. As usual, I'm in awe of your ability to create such a lyrically cohesive poem, so evocative, in such defined form.

Wonderful in rhyme and tempo, warm in content and dang cute with the surprise ending.
Green is a beautiful God-created color, but why am I also picturing a few of those yellow dandelions with wispy parachutes set to fly and not just a few toys from the grands?

I am pretty sure when God created color he had kindergarteners sand first graders in mind. He had to because they happen to love color and aren't in the least bit interested in coloring things as they should be.
