This was awesome, and creepy. I love the photo and music accompaniment.
You may enter, but cannot leave, bemoan your life, seek to bequeath
some simple knowledge hiding there - still, if you do - not one will care.

Wow! It's far and few between when I can be stumped by a new word! (belletristic - concerning ancient culture :-) Cool! I learned a new word!! LOL
Now, as to the poem - wow again!
Great maintenance of meter and rhyme scheme. You kept me totally "in the moment" - one would almost say hypnotized :-)
A small pause on The moon could ne'er shine as brightly, whilst Luna looms above us nightly, while I contemplated the question of sameness. . .then I remembered The Moon is called Luna as a symbolic pairing/honorific :-)

This captures the inevitability of life and death as we wander in search of that elusive magic but find deathly gloom and the dark demons with their cups overflowing with sin. The music in its ceaseless march creates that atmosphere of a wandering lost soul. This is my interpretation. Well done, Dean.

Beautifully written no doubt. Much to ponder here. The first thing that came to mind was that "death is the great equalizer." King/queen or slave/pauper and everyone in-between, regardless of what you possess, be it goods or talent, in the end it won't do us much good unless it was used to do good for others. The second thought that came to mind was how intriguing the macabre can be, how much of an in-depth delight or thought provoking medium it can be. Excellent piece.

I like the way this poem flows. It also speaks to me of a dark fairie land. The music you chose as background is haunting and compliments the poem. Good job!
