An excellent piece of writing, Dean. I love your macabre look at life. I have to admit, though - I find it hard to concentrate on the music and absorb your poem at the same time - just me, I guess.
I can listen to the music while I write my review, but not while I am trying to 'get' each of your delicious lines.
Lots of fine imagery here - though creepy, which I know is the way you like it.
Excellent rhyme skills and use of alliteration. Too many to mention, but I'm sure I caught most of them.

Very interesting poem. It feels like something I would read out of one of my Conan the Barbarian comics or some poetry that Sir Walter Scott would have written during the late 17 through early 1800's. The pictures also capture the feeling with attire being worn by, I guess, a King and a Queen. Kind of makes me feel like the Queen will get up and try to attack me or something. So, who are the pictures of?

This is really bleak and dark. You must have been in a deep trance before coming to write this. It is terrifically thrilling and gripping. The darkness is visible. Great intuition.

This one unnerves me a bit because it's so dark - and because the writer is content with the darkness to the point of never wondering why. Still, it's entrancing and perfect for the season!
