THEY CLOSED THE STABLE DOORS AFTER THE HORSE GOT OUT AND NOW THEY ARE STANDING AROUND SCRATCHING THEIR HEADS AFTER ALL THESE YEARS STILL IN WONDERMENT AS TO WHY THIS HAPPENED

Barbara, Nice to hear from you; hope all is well. This dreadful attack was meant to shake the west out of their complacency that nothing could upset America - it sure did. Even us, we are on high terrorist alert now. Blessings, K.

HI Kay, I do remember it well...I called and told my sister to turn on the TV..she said it was a movie...then I told her...and the next plane hit...she screamed and fall to her knees...so much and so many were destroyed that day...your poem expresses to pain that all felt...very well written...Luff Linda xxoo

Hello my friend, We were too complacent that we were safe (America being a prime target) I watched the TV for five hours that day. Now, Australia is on high terrorist alert. Blessings, K.

Unfortunately, it was only the beginning of war. Today, we are sending 600 men to Iraq - and Russia is breathing down our necks too! :-[ God loves you and so do I. K. XX

Hi, Kay. This is a very touching tribute to the people who lost their lives in New York on that terrible day. I choose to believe, as you apparently do, that Jesus and the angels were there to help confused souls cross over. Thank you for sharing in such a powerful way.

Hugs, Bev

Hello Bev, The confusion amongst the newly dead had to be sorted out by the angels - Jesus must have been weeping. Australia is just now on high terror alert. We should not think we are safe anymore. Blessings, K.

I don't think we can assume anything anymore, Kay. It's a difficult time we're living in. Hugs, Bev

I would never have believed the last two lines of your last stanza when I was younger. But the years enlightens us and we see what fanaticism can do. Great tribute and very fitting not just for today. Loren

Yes indeed it was a world wide tragedy. Everything that has happened sense has never made me think there was any rhyme or reason to the tragedy, What did it prove. Look at the cost .. God Bless the families of those who perished. Nancy

Aussie, I particularly appreciate your point of view on this tragedy on US soil. But it wasn't just US citizens that perished and it had implications world-wide of what was yet to come. Solid a b a b rhyming scheme with occasional enjambments. I love those. God's heart breaks, too. Well done. :0 GracieAnn

Pax et bonum! This is beautifully written and truly inspiring. I felt I could hear the angels weeping on that day, so this has truly resonated with me. Thank you for sharing this with me and may the world one day find lasting peace and love so that the angels will weep no more.

This is a very lovely tribute to the tragedy. I was surprised to see one written by an Aussie! I guess I didn't realize that you were affected, too! Beautiful writing!
