that was adorable and mirrors my own experience in our local
club. I did enjoy the company and Christmas we decorated one of the
historical homes. A very well written and enjoyable verse. Smiles, Robin :)

This is so cute. I just love it. Especially the last couple of stanzas. I am not a master gardener either, but my oldest daughter became well clued in to the original names of flowers. It became her hobby. This is really a fun read.

Just as some musicians play instruments by ear, I grow my flowers in the same way. I related to this poem and it's references to simple flowers we all compare to childhood memories. It has perfect rhyme and meter and brings recall to many plants I have had or admired. I will assure you that nettles sting.

Even an idiot is thought smart if they keep their mouth shut. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read.

All you need is the ability to delegate and wow them with
parliamentary procedures, and break up an occasional catfight. Let them talk flowers. Nice poem.

I can delicate - just ask my kids.

Hi Jmf, I think this is the first time I have reviewed your work, where have you been hiding! This is a most beautiful poem, the rhyming is excellent, the rhythm and meter are excellent and the flow is excellent, I know the sort of work and thought that has to go into a descriptive poem like this, so my friend, you have more than earned my last six!

Thank you so much for your thoughtful and encouraging review and for the wonderful sixth star. I'm so pleased that you liked it.
I only post a few poems a month. Between grandkids and activities, it's hard to keep up.

    Blessings

I totally enjoyed reading your well paced poem. It was so entertaining and did not skip a single beat as I joyfully read along! I love flowers, and am the green thumb on my block, but there is so very much I do not know! Very fun to read and thanks for sharing!

What you may lack in garden club know how, you exceed in poem know hows. I enjoyed your poem. It has great flow and details. I see nothing to change. Maybe you can frame this for your club. Yes, it is that good.

Thank you for your thoughtful and encouraging review. I was thinking of reading the poem to the club - I hadn't thought of framing for them. Thanks for your vote of confidence.

A Master Gardner I'm not! ---gardener--
I love gardening but like you I know the plants by their indigenous names.
Yes nettles really sting. At least those I know.
Also what we call the stinging nettle has many medicinal uses
Good use of the abcb rhymes
Nice enjambment
