No wonder you won the contest, Dean. This is a great entry for the contest.
"cold cruel breezes blow" ... nice alliteration with "cold cruel" and "breezes blow", but I also like the pairing of "cr/br" words, "cruel/breezes"
I also like the play on words, "resting in pieces" for "R.I.P."
You appear to imply the decaying bones of an Arab extremist, headgear still attached and blowing in the sand, now-still gun beside his remains, a menace no longer.
Nicely penned!
Congrats.
cheers

Very Good! I like this! Short, not-so-sweet, and to the point. I puts me in the middle of an old graveyard at midnight on a cold moonlight night!! I love the artwork you chose to go along with your poem.

Hello everybody, I am so sorry that I cannot review each and everyone of you, as some important matter came up, and I had to stop for a while.
I have over 100 reviews, so I am obliged to copy to everyone the same message. But you already know how much I love to read all your poems. Thank you for understanding this message. Bless you . Terry xoxo

Thanks, Smurphgirlsasha. The main thing is that you get better, that's what's really important.

Hi Dean Kuch,
A well deserved winner I think. Suitably creepy, nasty suggestion of something unpleasant about to be revealed ...
Yup, suitably creepy. Congratulations.

Dean, this write fulfills the elements of the contest with proper title, perfect line and syllable count, nature as subject, and the ah ha moment at the end. The play on words makes the irony strong. I think some of the entries went a little too far. Congratulations. :0 GracieAnn

Thanks, GracieAnn, I really appreciate that. I did go for a more lighthearted approach for this because I think horror and comedy/humor always make perfect bedfellows. Many of the mainstream horror movies that are so successful also include elements of comedy. A Nightmare On Elm Street, Return of the Living Dead, and so many more, all give that brief, comedic reprieve needed sometimes to relive the tension the terror creates. I feel that's one of the main reasons they are as successful as they are.
Thanks so much for the excellent and thoughtful review. I greatly appreciate it. :)
