I don't know how you do it, Dean! You write with such ease, like you are really having fun with it. Now, I know differently. You are an impassioned writer like the rest of us, who thinks in monosyllabic giberish and when facing the blank screen, not even a half a monosyllable squeaks out.
So tell me... do! How do it you?

Oh, if you only knew, Jay! Day & night, rhymes, words and strung together phrases, story and poetry titles...it never ends! The only way I can truly say how I do it is drive, passion, and for the pure love of creating something out of nothing in words. That's about the gist of it.
Thanks for the very kind and complimentary comments, my friend.:)

Dean, this is a powerful and moving account of the battle between two survivors. You have depicted it well with strong wording and precise rhyme. Well done. :0 GracieAnn

I had no idea the mongoose are immune to the poisons of a cobra. Hopefully, they don't attack men too. LOL As always I have been educated once more by your author's notes. Thanks again for sharing your wealth of knowledge.

I watched such a contest in Bombay. The took place on the docks to which the ship was anchored. The mongoose was winning but then the man put the cobra in a basket ending the contest. I guess cobras are in short supply in the Bombay area. It was the ending I preferred. Good handling of such a topic.

Nature has many vicious cycles, many that would curl the toes of the average person. But, it is what it is, and all God's creatures have to eat.
Thanks for the kind review, Alan. :)

Hi DEan, I can tell that you really enjoyed writing this entry, you really got your teeth into it,(pardon the pun)
As usual you do entertain with your very creative work, and this one is no exception. I was a bit surprised that the Cobra lost, but then wouldn't know much about snakes.
Great write
well done

Yep, the cobra always loses out to a hungry mongoose I'm afraid, Mary. You would think it would be the other way around, but that's just not the case.
Thank you for your review. :)

That is quite a fight isn't it. Of course I was on the side of the mongoose. I don't care if the cobra's hatchlings sit enduring hunger pangs. LOL I hate snakes. Good to see you Dean. Forget Animal Planet and gift us with your poetry! You are so talented; don't waste it! xsx Nancy
