This is such a lovely poem, that to me, reflects the end of the day, and finally getting into a nice cozy bed, taking a deep breath, and falling off to sleep. Mind resting.

Excellent free verse on sleep and nature of dreams. Sounds almost like a prayer before bed time.
Your verse captures the mystery of dreams and an almost forlorn longing for another world from which to escape the conscious world of problems.
I enjoyed reading this.

It took a moment to realise you spoke of dreaming (at first I wondered if it was death, but you have created a light yet thoughtful ("a thousand meanings of what lies within") atmosphere.
I like the sigh too. A love my sleep!

this is a powerful piece of poetry! i love the imagery although i think it could be a little more descriptive. i can relate to the pain as everyone will counter it some day.
