Love the feeling you've conveyed here, Theresa (great idea not to have art work, by the way) ... you've captured perfectly the silence and stillness of peace itself.

Rich, this is! And every line, every word belongs to each other - if that makes sense? I hope:) "I float as one with clouds through endless skies" Superb!!
I wish I had a sixer to give you...
Thanks!!

Nice peaceful spiritual free verse wit lovely alliteration and a fine flow. Nice abundance of S sounds in the opening stanza, which serve to set a hushes, serene tone somehow:
I saturate
my soul
in silence
drinking
in the nature sounds
around me
the S sounds continue in second stanza, accentuated by assonance of E n breeze, secrets and tree:
Listening
to the breeze
as it blows
secrets
from tree to tree
LOVE THIS AHA Epiphany line--very Zen:
Absorbing
beauty
through my eyes
though
they are closed
nice echo of assonant O between closed in previous line and float. Good alliteration of C and G as well, with echoing consonance of K:
I float
as one
with clouds
through endless skies
I bask
in all
God's glorious gifts
allowing
peace and loving kindness (nice slant rhyme sound of gifts and kindness)
good ending note:
to permeate
my body
my mind
my soul
I felt the serene bliss in this. Well done!
Love,

Teresa;
an excellently composed piece of poetry that I enjoyed reading very much as it was very inspirational and enlightening is a very good spiritual poems should be.
Your imagery was very descriptive and expressive throughout your writing and very spiritual way: "Listening to the breeze as it blows secrets from tree to tree". I can actually visualize this breeze.
Thank you so much for writing and sharing this wonderfully formatted and composed piece of poetry for everyone to read and may the Lord be with you always my friend.

''drinking
in the nature sounds
around me''
This one jumped out at me early, Debbie.
I might have changed the above to
'' drinking in the sounds of nature'' rather than ''drinking in nature sounds'' somehow does not completely relaxes.
The rest is beautifully composed , giving the feeling of weightlessness and relaxation. One with God and nature.
Good write.
Best wishes,
RG

I like the imagery I see from secrets going from tree to tree, and I see that as peaceful. Great use of description in your poem. It flows well also.

Rejuvenating, within this piece there is a hope to recapture the zest circumstance can sap from a soul. It, in its own right, reminds one that their efforts to seek peace aren't worthless, that their being is not altogether conquered. Bask away, you've earned it.

This poem, to me, is almost like a Native American Indian prayer. I feel instantly at peace when reading this poem. Very lovely!

I enjoyed sharing your peaceful moments in nature.
The images are lovely and do bring a feeling of
Peace and well being.
There is nothing like nature's sights and sounds to help one feel refreshed.
