A lovely tribute to all the benefits that God bestows on those that recognise all His wonders, the natural wonders that are all around. I don't know how people can look at creation and not see God! I love the way you describe soaking up the goodness of God! Well done, Teresa, for this beautifully expressed and written to the glory of God, well done, blessings, Roy.

You create such a serene feeling. The world can be so full of distractions and our thoughts full of so many things and, as you state, not all of them good. All is well when thoughts turn to God and we let bask in His glory. A well stated declaration of faith.

basking in His presence
as gentle breezes stir the leaves
of small bushes and old trees
causing a healing balm
that rejuvenates
from the inside out

Well done, Buck

I saturate
my soul
in silence -- powerful beginning for a very peaceful poem.
I love the images you created about peaceful things.
Excellent.

Very beautiful poem and a great odd to the Father. I loved your choice of words. Great free verse.
I saturate
my soul
in silence
drinking
in the nature sounds
around me [loved this first stanza]

They say that the human soul seeks places that are not touched by the hands of mankind, where mother nature roams free... and here is a poem to prove it! Uplifting the soul, taking in all those glorious surroundings and let it sink in and seep in your soul, let it revitalise your spirit and seek wellbeing. Such a wonderful write to read, and I agree whole heartedly: Open your soul and be surprised, open your eyes and be energised, open your mind and be mesmerised, open your heart and be hypnotised,
by the beauty found worldwide, but also held by the spirit inside. Much beauty is found in your pen!

This is what I try to do every day, carve out some time to just sit, turn off, and bask in the glory of nature. Strong, meditative write. Just "drinking in the nature sounds" is an awkward line. Natural sounds/sounds of nature- that line just needs a tweak.

You are the second reviewer who found that line awkward so I will revisit it. Thanks for the help.

This poem is so pretty. As pretty as clouds. I find even storm clouds lovely. As I do nature. It is only man, I find mean and ugly. Sad, isn't it?

No need for a picture. Your words are visual, as I absorbed the peace within. Like the internal rhyming of "sounds & around" Nice enjambment and well structured lines. A joy to read. Les

Well this is absolutely beautiful. Saturating a soul in silence is such a perfect description , and made me stop and think about all that implied.....it flows so well and is a gorgeous, easy read.
