Ah, Brooke your story poems are really so good.
I love that Harry--seemingly in such immanent peril--
takes the time to make observations about the creatures
who might make him dinner.
Then there's always your wonderful way with vocabulary
and language. Kids need to learn from you.
This story is marvelous, but your craft at writing
is something kids will absorb even if they don't recognize
the talent it requires.
Peace, Lee

What a delighful, intelligent and informative poem! I love to write for children and I think it's not easy, you are very good at this. I especially liked the boy's name. Thanks for sharing, one of the nicest poems so far I've read in here :-)

oh Brooke! I LOVE YOU! Love your tripping dactylics - particularly suited to this delightful tale (I know, I know, the word 'delightful' comes up such a lot when I talk about your work - sorry!) - but Harrington Harrtington Smythson the Third is a total BROOKE CLASSIC!

How delightful this is. It took me back to my childhood. It is very educational all about the dinosaurs and the story is amazingly imaginative!! I love the rhythmical names you come up with. What a joyful treat it was to read this on a dreary Labor day here where I live. Great job!

Hi Brooke,
I really admired the technical skill to sustain such, whimsey, rhyme and meter in this cute children's poem. LOL Everytime I hear "Smithson" I think of the founder of the "Smithsonian":) Great job--Ted

Hi Brooke, what an amazing poet you are, the children's market is the hardest market in the world to write for, yet you make it look so easy, although, I know this wasn't easy to write, great rhyme and rhythm the whole poem pulls the reader along without a missed beat. Poetic perfection!

An uncommonly long work for this author, and a jolly good kid's saga AABBing along. That triceratops had a lot of horns, didn't he? An excellent yarn.

What an amazing little story to read to a child! I was fascinated with it, as it skipped down the page not skipping a single beat! Very nicely done and so much fun to read!
