being an Aussie I can so relate to your parochial little verse I love the way you describe the scenery in a story like rhyme nearly a sir David Attenborough style commentary in rhyming verse
incidentally in NSW in the telegraph they had a 14 dvd series over 2 weeks of sir David Attenborough's full collection of his series I managed to get this fill set

as I wrote this, Les.

I did actually have Frost in mind as I wrote this - not 'Road', however, but 'I have been on acquainted with the night' which is in terza rima style. Also others of his poems which deal with country life.

Terza Rima is an extremely difficult format in which to write a poem and you have accomplished the task admirably..
Your rhyme rhythm and imagery are excellent .It is not very often that I award six stars to a poem, but in this case I feel it would be criminal to do otherwise. I will be very surprised if this poem does not win the contest, but after 3 years of participating in Fanstory I have learned that there is so much cronyism that you can never be sure of anything.
