The saddest aspect of the loss is that those children who never receive it have an empty jelly bean jar, and nothing of their own to share with their own children, and the cycle continues.

A nicely designed and composed acrostic entry in this contest Brooke, about elusive happiness that sometimes eludes people. nice scene of your family, with Sawyer in tow, in a nice Photo in Canada? . Well done with this qualifying entry, good luck, blessings, Roy.

Hi Brooke
What a wonderful world if every child could have the life of Sawyer. :) It melts my heart to see such a happy and loving family ... and like you I feel heart-broken when I think of the horrors and suffering that many children must endure. How wonderful to feel so safe and secure - that smile exudes the face of a perfectly contented little boy. I think Mum and Dad look pretty happy also.
Seems you must have done a good job yourself Grandma.:))
An excellent entry for the contest. Great rhyme in your couplets, always an added touch to an acrostic. I've enjoyed the sentiments behind your selection of topic. Wishing you the best of luck. Hugs - Lovi xoxo

Mom and Dad were both born to be parents - they underwent a whole lot of medical intervention to make pregnancy happen :-) I've never met two people who wanted a child so much and who are so super happy to spend time doing baby things :-) Thanks so much for your review :-) Brooke

Hi Brooke
So Sawyer may be the one and only. I always wanted to be an only child. lol Sawyer has lots of opportunities AND he is being brought up in a wholesome environment with excellent values. So pleasing to see such a success story.
I loved being a mum and so enjoyed the pleasure of spending time with my sons. It does pay off when they grow older. All three are loving and compassionate and have social conscience. The best thing was being able to play and do baby things ... and have an excuse. lol
So pleased all the medical intervention worked for them..... a most deserving couple. Have a great week-end. Hugs - Lovi xoxo

RYME4U, thank you so very much :-) Every night I say prayers for little kids I've never met to lead a life like Sawyer's. Brooke :-)

Love shouldn't have to be beseeched,
Yet for some, it's out of reach.
How true and how many children live without love, or at least without feeling loved, with parents at two jobs... or, worse yet, none, depressed all the time. The economy and sad state of the culture rubs off on kids, so things never get better, only worse... lately, anyway, since that's the current trend.
